Ferry to Algeria

About us

ferrytoalgeria.com is an independent comparison site for the ferry connections to Algeria. The subject is the crossings of the western Mediterranean: from Marseille and Sète in France and from Barcelona, Valencia and Almería in Spain to Algiers, Oran, Béjaïa, Mostaganem, Skikda and Ghazaouet. Several shipping companies share the routes, among them Corsica Linea, GNV, Baleària and Naviera Armas; there is no single publisher for the connections as a whole.

This crossing leaves the EU, and that changes the order of planning. Passport, visa and vehicle papers come before the choice of departure port and sailing time, customs and border control wait at the other end, and in the summer months the ships fill up early. We sort the routes by country of departure and port of arrival, name the operator and the crossing time for each connection, and set out what applies on board with a vehicle or a dog. We do not list the Algerian state operator Algérie Ferries as a bookable option: their sailings cannot be booked through us, so you would have to check them with the company directly.

What this site is not

ferrytoalgeria.com is an independent guide. We are not the official website of any of the ferry operators, and we are not an Algeria travel guide: sights, hotel booking, flights, car rental and detailed visa advice are deliberately left out, because the focus stays on the crossing itself. We do not sell tickets ourselves: bookings are completed with our partner Direct Ferries, and their current prices, availability and terms apply.
